I'm gonna start watching Terra Formars, even tho it looks kinda old but i know all the others already. Ajin I didn't watched it all it was stilll updating at the time and i lost it i tried getting into it again but didn't really worked out.
Just like in Tokyo Ghoul Ajin has a new species the so called Ajin, who are superior than humans.
For me this series does everything right where the Anime version of Tokyo Ghoul failed. I like both of them.
Both series are good and unique in there own way but Ajin was in part inspired by Tokyou ghoul this is why Ajin reminds you of Tokyo Ghoul.
The characters look the same, the main character has a monster inside them, the anime's a horror etc.
Both of these series deal with a main character rejected by society. As is the case with Kaneki, Kei is deemed as an unsightly being that needs to be "eradicated", or, in the words of the residents of Japan, "locked up and taken care of by the government".
Both protagonists dance a fragile line between staying themselves and being what everyone else believes they are.
Both are in hiding and both lose a bit of their humanity somewhere along the line. But unlike Tokyo Ghoul, Ajin doesn't completely screw over the second season okay, maybe there's like one scene that could've been better.
All in all, it's one of my favorite series out there. Don't let the animation throw you off - it actually grows on you!

These 2 anime are very similar. For instance the main male protagonist was living an ordinary live until something drastic happens and their whole world is turn upside down.

Shiki takes its time beating around the bush before it finally comes out with it, and for such a dark and heavy anime, there's remarkably little violence for most of the episodes.
It takes a bit more patience than TG, but I absolutely recommend watching both to completion. Both Shiki and Tokyo Ghoul display creatures whose life means our death.

If you guys are interested in anime with killing an a strong mysterous plot go for tokyo Ghoul. If you guys want an anime with lots of killing and a plot about characteres traveling the world with tons of fighting I'd go for Akame Ga Kill.
Akame ga Kill focuses around assassins trying to take down the capital, while Tokyo Ghoul focuses on the CCG trying to take down the ghouls.
Both MC's enter into the cruel world where they see violence, blood, corruption. In a dark world full of misunderstandings mc's have to forget the moral codes in order to protect what they care about.
Good soundtracks, lots of fighting, a few funny scenes. While most people will disagree with me, I think both of these were pretty similar.

It gives us the feel of the anime and gets us pumped. Everyone that has watched Tokyo Ghoul knows that opening just with the first sung note.
So just like Tokyo Ghoul, Ajin has a very catchy, interesting opening song that gives you a feeling of anticipation and excitement.
It's like that feeling of "yes, I want to see what this anime is about because this song is great! It seems that it's normal to feel apathetic and uncaring because some of us lack the social cues necessary to be an empathetic person.
The idea of being "cold and calculating" has become a normal thing in society. So, it's easy to feel like you can relate to the main character as he struggles with the lack of empathy many humans have.
Tokyo Ghoul, as well, has a main character that one can relate to. However, on an emotional level he is vastly different from Ajin's main character.
Which is the opposite for Ajin's main character. Kei, in Ajin, begins as nearly emotionless to an individual trying desperately to care for other human beings after experiencing unspeakable horrors.
He goes from being a "jerk" as his sister calls him, to an individual that wants so badly to be compassionate and loving. The action in both anime is amazing.
There's never really a dull moment. It's really neat to see other worldly creatures go into hand to hand combat. And the fact that many characters in Ajin do not stay dead adds an interesting element into the mix.
And finally, one of the main reasons I love these anime is the reoccurring theme of moral ambiguity. There are horrible, inhumane things done to human-like creatures, Ajin and Ghouls alike.
There is prejudice against the unknown. And let's be honest, these are things we face in the real world. Society has a habit of fearing the unknown and judging people that are seen as "different".
So, we find ourselves caught up in this ethical debate: should they die or live Ghoul, Ajin, and humans alike. We want to fight against those wronging the main character but also struggle internally with whether it is right or wrong to actually kill a human being no matter how terrible they are.
All in all, this is an intriguing anime. I love these kind of dark, thought provoking anime. So if you're in the mood to question your morals, these anime are very good for that kind of thing.

It arguably does a lot of things better than Tokyo Ghoul, though many overlook its potential as a story and series for its unique animation, but the CGI in Ajin is high quality, and is among the top uses of CGI I've ever seen in anime.
These series are very similar. If you loved Tokyo Ghoul, I'm sure you'll love Ajin. Both series have "Demi-Human" or Demonic Creatures in them, thus keeping a relatively dark atmosphere.

The male protagonists in both animes are sort of similar in a way. Even though in the beginning Kaneki doesn't really fit the pissed off, fiery passion Eren has, they are still similar in some ways.
This recommendation is really obvious to me. Attack on Titan has much better animation and a more addicting story. However, I found Tokyo Ghoul's characters and themes to be more compelling.
Tokyo Ghoul is also a little more mature and has more elements of horror. Be warned, for AoT has a few pacing issues, and Tokyo Ghoul season 2 is quite divisive.

Both are great animes if you're a fan of gore and watching humans get eaten. The vibe in both cases are dark and enigmatic. They evolve around the idea about how humanity is rotting slowly from flesh-eating monsters.
In both shows the main character ends up becoming one of the enemy due to someone close to them. The main characters also become incredibly strong because of their transformations.
Lastly, in both shows the enemies eat human flesh and are hard to kill. They both have like it or not dumb protagonist with witty friends.
For some peculiar reason Tokyo ghoul reminded me of AOT. Both are dark and suspensful with an amazing characters. Both are original masterpices with an excellent animated battles.

Similar type of enemy. Ghouls are only in Tokyo, Japan I might be wrong which isolates Tokyo from the rest of Japan and the world with dealing with ghouls.
Kaneki eats Jason and Eren tears open Annie's neck, almost devouring her. Kaneki was mentally and physically abused by his mother and Eren brutally killed two kidnappers, saving Mikasa.
Touka acts like a mean, stubborn friend who might have feelings for Kaneki. Both animes are in a fantastic world with magic creatures but they have a good anime script, everything makes sense in the end, they are more serious than other animes.

These 2 anime are very similar. For instance the main male protagonist was living an ordinary live until something drastic happens and their whole world is turn upside down.

It's like Tokyo Ghoul, but the ghouls are vampires. These two animes both concentrate on humans and another humanoid species existing together, although not peacefully.
They have great action, characters and keep you entertained until the end. If you enjoyed any apsect of Tokyo Ghoul, you'll probably like Devils Line.
I could connect every character from Devils Line to one from TG, based on similarities. Instead of ghouls there are vampires that blend into society, there is an organization that hunts them and the whole anime feels similar.
Both are very similar but Devils Line is not as fucked up and dark as Tokyo Ghoul, it has much more romance and instead of ghouls there are vampires.
